Free writing.

My trouble is i think too much. I have too many ideas that bounce around going in opposite directions. I am hopeless at organization. My novel is a hotch potch of ideas that seem to change weekly. Different characters charge around getting dizzy with themselves. Doing not a lot what can I do to change- should I change- How can I sort this into a logical order even in real life I charge around finding 30 solutions when one is all I need . Just making life

''Time up. Damn how frustrating. I will not be at class this week. Boo Hoo I hear you all cry. I am off to sunny skies (I hope).  See you all next week. Be good and do as Uncle Gary tells you. Love Sandy

2nd Attempt

I wish I was more like Janet. She is always so calm, so professional.  Not like me. I was on a knife edge
all the way throught the labour.  That dear little girl is so special. She looks like she has been here before. Lots of red hair, wonder where she gets that from. Not from our side of the family - perhaps her father.
Wish I knew who he is. Wonder if its that Carl he had a gingery tinge to his hair. I hope

  1. Sorry you won't be making it next week Sandra, see you when you get back. Lots of characters isn't a problem - if you want to get a handle on them try writing out a list of 'Dramatis Personae' as you might have at the beginning of a play. See who has speaking parts, and who doesnt. Check that their names are not too similar to one another. See who has only a first name and who has a surname too. Think of your novel in tiers like a wedding cake - the one or two main characters on the top, the supporting cast underneath, and the minor characters at the base.
